Renewable energy means a lot to us, our member systems and the communities we serve
A growing part of our energy portfolio comes directly from water, sun and wind. In fact, more than a quarter of the electricity consumed by our cooperative members comes from renewable resources.
Since our founding in 1952, we’ve delivered renewable hydropower to rural towns, farms and ranches. We’re growing our renewable portfolio as technological improvements, lower production costs, and domestic energy policy have resulted in lower renewable energy costs.
Our member systems are also innovating with local, distributed renewable energy projects in many of their communities.
Together, we believe that affordable and reliable power, responsibly generated and delivered, is the lifeblood of the rural West. Power that generates possibilities is our passion.
